We (Me and Vikash) were in the Parvatti valley last week. A short break, we allowed
ourselves after we finished working on the claimant memorandum for the Willem C. Viss,
Vienna rounds on the 3rd of Dec.

We managed to cover Kasaul, Manikarna and Manali on foot and on local buses through
a period of four days. Few of the town locals remained, as did tourists. The valley seemed
mostly deserted, with shops shut and streets empty. The hill folks were still here though,
as were the hills, the river and the israelis.

We were aided in our pursuit, solely by a Lonely Planet guide, and the good vibes of the hills.
